“This month Printmaking Senior Critic Daniel Heyman is in residence in Herzliya, Israel, just north of Tel Aviv, where he devotes his days to working in the studio and his evenings to walking the incredible area beaches. He recently conducted a three-day printmaking workshop and is lecturing about his work on June 18 at Tel Aviv’s Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art.
Thanks in part to a RISD Professional Development Grant, Heyman is also researching national and ethnic loyalty while he’s in Israel. He hopes to use his findings to create a series of new prints (mono, relief and etchings). ” — Courtesey Our RISD blog
